An Almanac for Farmers and Lovers in Mexico by Kate Tarker, directed by Eden Tomich.

How to sign up:
Please fill out the audition form.

When:
Friday, June 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where:
Auditions will be held in Davis, we will contact you with the address.

What to prepare:
Please prepare a one-minute light and/or comedic monologue.  If you need some ideas, we have a few suggestions!

An Almanac for Farmers and Lovers in Mexico
Playwright: Kate Tarker
Director: Eden Tomich
Rehearsals: June 24 - July 21 (schedule to be determined, but will include weekends and week day evenings).  Rehearsals will be held at the Historic Schmeiser Barn, 35125 County Road 31, Davis.

Flora and Pelé eagerly prepare for their wedding in Pelé’s hometown until Pelé suddenly transforms into a hummingbird and Flora must fight to keep their love - and their wedding - alive. This play is a magically lyrical and comical look at love, youth, and true commitment.

Cast:
FLORA (F), mid-twenties, American. Conflicted but driven.
MOLLY (F), mid-twenties, American. Ethereal and artistic.
PELÉ (M), late twenties, Mexican. A little bit wild Byronic hero, a little bit regular guy.
ZOE (F), mid-twenties, American. Perpetually dirty, does not shave her legs or brush her hair, really looking forward to her thirties.
HENRY (M), mid-twenties, American. Part punk anarchist, part academic.
JUDGE (F), in her forties or fifties, Mexican. A determined bureaucrat with modest taste in clothing and behavior.
SAN CRISTÓBAL (M or Third Gender). Physically a little older, shape shifty. Born in Greece, but at home in any warm climate. Wears robes with a bit of flair.
